Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. What Courtside IQ is

L3 Courtside IQ (“the Service”) is a video-review platform operated by L3 Officiating Group for use at basketball officiating clinics. The Service lets clinic staff record games, mark clips, and share those clips with clinic attendees for training purposes.

2. Who can use it

The Service is only for adults 18 and over, or minors 13 and over with a parent or guardian's consent. Access requires an invitation from an L3 Officiating Group administrator. Accounts are not for public signup.

3. Recording and consent

By attending a clinic that uses the Service, you consent to being recorded while officiating. Video is used for training, evaluation, and — with your separate opt-in — potentially for marketing/promotion of L3 Officiating Group clinics. Audio may be captured at some clinics; when it is, you'll be told in advance.

You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing L3 Officiating Group. Withdrawal applies to future recordings; existing footage of prior clinics you attended may continue to be used unless separately deleted.

4. Public sharing of content

By using Courtside IQ, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility that video clips in which you appear, along with any associated evaluations, ratings, and clinician comments, may be shared with other officials, clinic attendees, staff, or posted on public social forums for training, discussion, and educational purposes. Content may be used to illustrate rule applications, teach mechanics, or promote development programs offered by L3 Officiating Group.

If you prefer that your likeness or performance not be shared beyond the immediate clinic environment, please notify L3 Officiating Group in writing before participating in any recorded session. Continued use of the platform after receiving this notice constitutes ongoing consent to these terms.

5. Your content

Clips and notes you create on the Service belong to you. By posting them, you grant L3 Officiating Group a non-exclusive license to display them within the Service to other authorized clinic members and to use them for internal training.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) share your account credentials, (b) redistribute video or clips outside the Service without written permission from L3 Officiating Group, (c) attempt to access data you're not authorized to see, or (d) use the Service in violation of any applicable law.

7. Termination

We may suspend or remove your access at any time if you violate these terms, leave L3 Officiating Group, or if the clinic you attended has concluded and your role no longer requires access.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free performance. Video hosted on third-party services (e.g., YouTube) is subject to those services' own availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, L3 Officiating Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Direct damages are limited to the fees you paid to attend the clinic during which the incident occurred.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which L3 Officiating Group is incorporated. Any disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in that state.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Service; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
